to clarify...
In MySQL version 5.0 the DB description and the username has the be the same. This is different from previous versions. Also, keep in mind another change in MYSQL 5.0. In previous versions, a strong password could be from 8 to 16 characters in length. MYSQL 5.0 had changed the strong password hexing to 8 to 14 characters with at least one character being "UPPER CASE."
