Split Menu - Viewed on phone only shows first menu level

Using the Gantry Template and using the "theme menu control" to display a split menu.
When I view the site on a phone the menu only displays the first level of items. If I switch the menu style to dropdown then all of my menu items are displayed.
(I know I am displaying the 2nd level of menu items in a module position that is not in the template but this should not have an effect on the phone display)
Is this a bug? How do I display all levels of the menu on a phone while using the split menu setting?

That is not a bug. Split menu config is completely separate from dropdown menu config and if you limit level in split menu, that doesn't mean that you will limit level in dropdown menu

I do not think it is possible to limit the split menu levels from inside the Gantry Template manager. (I think this can be done when using the RokMenuNav module)
Here are the only menu options available inside of the gantry template settings.
I think when using the SplitMenu inside of Gantry only the top level items display for the phone size. Am I overlooking something?

The things is that split menu shows as split menu on mobile devices also so when you did what you did with your split menu module you basically disabled all levels except first from showing

Any suggestions on how to achieve a split menu for tablets/desktops while showing all levels when displayed on the phone?
I would love for the split menu to display all levels viewed on the the phone. Is this a change the developers might be able to make? or at least a toggle switch?

- You didn't understand me. On mobile devices (if you set split submenu in real module position and not none as you did) you should also see splitmenu submenu

Thanks for the reply. When I took the screen shot I had the sub menu set to a non existent module position. I moved the submenu to the same module position as the Main Menu position I get the exact same results.

you can see all the menu levels, then narrow the browser and you only see the top level.

I think the phone menu is just pulling from the top level of the submenu in Gantry 4.1.2
In the earlier version of gantry 4.0.5 the phone view displayed all levels of the menu system when the split menu option is selected. I have a version of the site online if you need to check.

Which menu types did you use for first level menu items? I have to admit that I am having really hard time following your menu configuration and your problem any more. You just made things harder with your split menu level limiting with 'none' module position and multiple copies of module in module manager
