- Of course I did a lot of changes to these templates so perhaps "rights" is something to think about. But it did never break something ...

  We'll be going back and updating the previous Gantry templates with an updated templateDetails.xml as described in this article above.

  please try this: open your templatedetails.xml and find
  <param name="diagnostic" type="diagnostic" />
  change to:
  <param name="versioncheck" type="versioncheck" label="" /> <param name="diagnostic" type="diagnostic" />

- I added a fix to let the upgrade going smoother, for what regards the admin elements not working. It's going to be in 3.0.1 if you want to hold on downloading 3.0. Otherwise the fix Kat posted is entirely valid.

  Adding
  <param name="versioncheck" type="versioncheck" label="" />
  solved it. Anyway the upgrade to 3.01 is already availabale.

- You can register as an Apple Developer and download the iPhone SDK that includes the iPhone simulator. The next best option is to use Safari and change your user agent to iPhone.
