I am a little confused. I would like to install the crystalline template on a new site I am building, but want the Gentry 3 running it. How can I do this please? also can Gentry 3 be installed on any template already running Gentry and if so can I do it the same way you suggest with my first request.

hi tom,
you can install the crystalline standalone template and then you can install the gantry 3.0.1 framework.
all you need to do is get the gantry_joomla_framework-3.0.1.zip from here:
code.google.com/p/gantry-framework/downloads/list
and install it through your joomla admin > extensions > install/uninstall...
please note, that crystalline itself will run with gantry 3.0.1, but the template has not been updated yet to include all the cool new features.
should be out in a few days though.
