    • Can i deduce from this discussion that AMM is a recommended component and works with gantry based rocket-themes?

What i dont understand is that the Joomla-Devs did remove the "unassigned" option from the module display options and didnt supply a replacementr for it. Anyone can explain this or knows "a link"?

    • hi there,

yes, the advanced module manager works fine with gantry templates.

i am not sure i understand what you mean by "the Joomla-Devs did remove the "unassigned" option from the module display"?

can you try to explain better or add a screenshot to show what you mean?

      kat :)

    • Hi Kat,

in the 1.0 Joomla version within the module configuration, in the "Pages / Items" menu, where u define where a module is supposed to show up, theres an option called "unassigned". This option is missing in 1.5.* and i cant find any substition or workaround for this within joomla itself.

One of your devs did point out that my problem can be solved by a gantry option, which actually worked, but i am still a bit puzzled that there doesnt seem to be a joomla-core solution for my problem.

Which is, that, if i use the "read more" link on an frontpage item, the modules disapear allthough the are assigned to the "Home" menu option and the home menu option seems to be active.

      cheers,

      Arnd

      I guess "menu-less-pages-feature" in Gantry,

Thx Henning, this did solve the problem. But i still dont understand why the menu-id gets lost when i use the "read more" link from the frontpage. It cant be that i have to assign the frontpage menu-id to every frontpage article item?

Is it really expected behaviour that as soon as i use the "read more" link the menu-id assossiation is lost and modules associated to the frontpage, for example, are not displayed anymore?

      cheers,

      Arnd
