Posted 11 years 10 months ago
    • Hi

after updating to J 2.5.5 the following error is shown while trying to load the template area

Fatal error: plgSystemGantry::getMasters() [<a href='plgsystemgantry.getmasters'>plgsystemgantry.getmasters</a>]: The script tried to execute a method or access a property of an incomplete object. Please ensure that the class definition &quot;GantryRegistry&quot; of the object you are trying to operate on was loaded _before_ unserialize() gets called or provide a __autoload() function to load the class definition in /homepages/XXXXXXXXXXX....//plugins/system/gantry/gantry.php on line 299

      Any idea? Thanks!

      Seriously ?
      It was released TODAY!
I'm pretty sure nobody on the dev team has had time to go through it and see what things its broken in our templates.
I don't think it'll be as bad as the J16 -> J25 fiasco but still we need time to go through everything.

I would advise you go back to J2.5.4, until J2.5.5 is thoroughly thrashed out :)

    • I can confirm this on multiple Gantry installations with Joomla 2.5.5 and Gantry 3.2.19.

    • Try deleting admin and site cache.

May have resolved on 2 of the sites I have tested on.

    • Spoke too soon...

It's an intermittent issue still on multiple sites.

    • If I go to Site->Maintenance-Clear Cache and select then delete just the Gantry cache it solves the problem. At least for now.

    • Hi Duane,

      It will recur.

It did for me after your suggestion initially seemed to help.

The intermittent nature of this certainly does suggest something related to the Gantry cache or related functions. Hope it gets fixed.

    • Update:

Clearing cache definitely solves the problem temporarily. Interestingly, it does not help to use a cache cleaner utility such as nonumber cache cleaner; you have to go to Site->Maintenance-Clear Cache.
