    • Hi,

I'm trying to add particles/modules as children to my main menu's parent items via the Gantry 5 Menu Editor, but every time I try and save the module/particle I get these errors:

    • You can't add just a module or just a particle as a child... there needs to other menu items in there too (even if you subsequently disable them). Otherwise this does cause an error which has been reported butis still outstanding at the moment.

    • Mark,

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried doing as you said and attempted to add a module to a Menu Item that already had a regular child menu item (single article via Joomla menu manager).

As soon as I picked the module and hit Apply, I got the same error as before.

    • I fear this is not going to be easy to resolve.

      so far...

I found that you had a duplicate menu alias "search" (one in kunena menu and once in hidden menu) I resolved this by changing the alias of the kunena menu search item.

I found that if I delete the contents of /template/rt_photon/custom/config/menu then go into each menu in g5 menu manager and save (to regenerate files) then I can add the module and save it. But it then goes wrong again after that.

I created a test menu with menu items and that worked fine... So I believe this is some sort of corruption in that "main menu" and I can only suggest that you try recreating a new menu (do not move menu items) from scratch to see if that then work (as least start with one or two items to start with). I also feel that "falang" could be having some negative effect here too.

I looked at all the other reasons that this can occur and they don't seem to apply in your case.

Sorry, this is not too helpful, but that's all I can suggest...

      Regards, Mark.
