    • Hi Jeff,

The default settings are inherited throughout UNLESS they are overridden by the per-menu page option.

To check if you have a per-page setting in place you need to go to the template admin. You will see a button marked "Default" and to its right a button marked "Menu". Click on the menu option and then select the menu item that you are having a problem with.

Scroll down and see if there is a check in the box to the left of the feature you wish to check. If the box is checked then the displayed settings will over-ride the default.

AQlternatively if you have a menu item that you know has some options but you wish to return to default, just click on the menu button as described previously and you will see a link appear beneath it enabling you to "remove all options" from the item.

Thought I had better make that clear for others who may find this post.

      Hope this helps 8)

      I have a similar problem. I have 3 positions 3|6|3
      sidebarA - mainbody - sidebarB
This means that sidebarA should be ALWAYS to the left, but when there are no published modules in sidebarB, sidebarA will go to the right of the mainbody.
I don't think this is suposed to happen.
      hi again,

if you have 3 positions used and the slider shows sa-mb-sb, then sidebar-a will be on the left as desired.

when you then have a page without a sidebar-b, then it is no longer a 3 position layout but a 2 position layout. so you will have to use the slider for 2 positions to decide on which side the sidebar-a will appear.

      hope this helps, kat :)

This is crazy, I guess it's ok if you have a few pages, but what if you have 1000 pages.
Do you have to go through each menu item and set the slider for sidebar-A to be on the left side?
Is there a better solution for this

If the majority of your pages require sidebar-a to be on the left then you make that the default in the template settings. That way you only edit the menu items for the minority of pages.

    • How about if I have 500 pages using left and right columns, and 500 pages using the left column only?

You only have half the work to do compared to your initial thoughts. 8)

If you need a fixed position then you could consider using one of our older templates that is not based on Gantry.

      hi again,

no problem at all, both can be set in the DEFAULT settings. for the mainbody 2 positions move the slider to tell sidebar-a to be on the left. for 3 postions tell sidebar-a to be on the left and sidebar-b on the right. then save.
NO NEED to make this an individual setting for individual pages.

So I select a template style and set-in the parameters and hit save?
