Official RT Stance: Please if you make a fireboard template for a specific RocketTheme template, only make it available via the member's submissions board. That way we can at least try to keep a leash on the RT template pirating issue.
I don't wanna sound like a prick Andy, I hope you know that...
Anyways I saw Daniel took off his template from his site and imo that doesn't seem fair. I mean he worked hard to make that template available, and by removing it he removes something from his site that could give him some traffic and potential customers - good content on sites is what matters - right.
As I see it it - making a free forum template that match one of your templates is nothing but good free advertising. So a few lo lifes might get a free skin to match their stolen template, but hey they will always be there, no reason to kill the lust for making cool RT stuff.
I understand if it was template mods, as we have discussed before, but that is direct benefit of your work, a forum template that match your template is not imo.
My tutorials that I enjoy to write (a few coming soon) might also help a few pirates, but hopefully they will most likely also benefit your customers.
I also enjoy writing news and reviews when a new RT template sees the light. I know that a pirate might get a sudden lust for looking for places to get that template, but more likely it will drive non members to your site and sign up.
RT is doing really good and I think the members got a slight deal in that. Your templates are of course 98% of it, still all those extra menu mods, forum templates, tutorials, news etc. are also helping or so I believe.
Don't let your company be controlled by a few retards that steals templates, I mean they are not serious and will probably skip Joomla and templates in a month after they tried it.
Again sorry if I sound like a prick and all Andy - just would be sad if all info should be drived into a closed community, that would make it all a little too inbreed
