I've got a BlueHost site with a client who has numerous sub-domains, each with their own Joomla installs. A lot with Versatility 4, but a Firenzie and I think an Elemental.
All of a sudden, ALL of the Joomla installs show NO TEMPLATES. In fact, when one goes to Template Manager, the screen you see doesn't even have the list itself! It shows what would be a Template edit (if there were any) with nothing in the Parameters except:
The parameter file /templates//params.ini is unwritable!
Now, on my other installs, an edit window for a template will have (for example):
The parameter file /templates/rt_versatility4_j15/params.ini is unwritable!
What the heck is going on here? This was not always this way!
Dear JEM:
Of source, they swear they haven't done anything, and perhaps it's true and whenever this happened I didn't notice it. I checked my CPanel and it seems all the directories are set to 755, and the files at 644, so I'm not sure what else I should be looking for concerning rights.
I'd be more than willing to have someone who knows more than I do about this look at the website. However, I don't want to post it here, as I believe this is a public board. Is there a way to send this information via email? Let me know.
Thank you for being willing to help on this. It's absolutely baffling to me.
I hit reply to your PM and type in the things I needed and hit "Submit".
However, when I look, it seems to be in my Outbox, not my "Sent Messages" folder.
Did you get it? If not, what am I missing here? There doesn't seem to be any more "Send" buttons to push!
If you DIDN'T GET THIS...
Send me an email. My email address is my last name (at the end of this message) plus the number "7". And the domain is gmail -- and the obvious dot com as well.
