Thanks for your input JEM and Brian_Glamis...
I am already headed in the direction everyone has advised on and with confidence. There was some doubt and concern at first but things are very clear now. Biggest thing is don't be a chicken poopy
I have set up a 1.6 test server to play with and find my way around for future referenced and as things come available in updates I will add them and test.

I do realize that not every developer, 3rd party extension and so on have or has prepared themselves or are ready (bug free) from the transition.
I agree to a certain point Brian:
The extensions or components I am using and paid a fair price for should be above and beyond the cutting edge of the rest of the communities. Bare with me please!
If I decide to pay for addons/components for Joomla its because I want the most supported up-to-date, secure, bug free application for my money. I would also expect those companies to keep up with cutting edge technology. Now, within the www things just progress so fast I understand it takes a while for certain things to catch up, so be it. Should that be an excuse to not even have beta versions for their users to help with the transition?
I am going to ramble now:
I look at things like this, this is business, are we in agreement? and we are just talking I am not picking on anyone, Some of the addons and such along with the firms that produce them are in the cat-bird seat. They have great products, support and for the most part have been at the top of the game for quite sometime now. But I see that people get lazy, if they have stable releases and compatibility why would they rush in and spend money before they have to when profits are high? What I like is those on top only stay there for a while till someone bigger and better comes along. Every product I have someone is producing their own version of and the company that breaks its neck to give the costumer what they need, will get my money. I know we are in stable versions now with 1.5 but 1.6+ will have updates that get rid of some of the 3rd party addons needed for some common functions used by sites everyday. I am surprised at the extras needed for Joomla 1.5 that one would think would be included in the core itself.
Like I said just talking here...Joomla is a great product and I am glad to have had the opportunity thus far to work with it and the firms surrounding it.
Cheers!
