GODADDY HOSTING SUCKS...Anyone else hate them? Need a better VPS

Ok, I have officially had it with the WORTHLESS tech support at GoDaddy... I have a VPS and it seems everything is "out of the realm" of their support, so they want you to get the crazy expensive dedicated servers to get any help at all...
Where can I get a good VPS for about the same price with support thats actually worth something... I have officially considered GoDaddy to be WORTHLESS. They can take your money, but even when a suspected hacker is jacking your box, it's "out of the realm".
Anyone else wanna go blow up bob parsons? His tech support is USELESS, all they tell you to do is "search google or our forums" well no sh$# dick tracy, any moron knows to start there first...

I have to say I started with them - and quickly moved away. What they offer is cheap and not necessarily cheeful.
I guess if you were runing a simple website - or wanted to use their plugins you would be okay, but using anything that uses up to date versions of php/MySQL or any other technology - forget it! - The quality of chemistry is not strained, it droppeth and gentle rain from heaven upon the place beneath...

Servint have been absolutely wonderful with me. Their tech support is absolutely top notch. I can't recommend them enough. Check them out at servint.net.
They'll help you with just about everything. Support is fast and polite. You can tell their people love their jobs. The forums are great too. Heaps of tips, tutorials and other gems to be found in the forum.

Thanks I will check I have had nothing but issues with my VPS, now I am up to 87% quota and only actually use like 25%, It's running slow, something wrong with the dev/vzfs/ folder... something is screwy but i cannot figure out what and of course they are no help...
I will check out that host Gollum, thanks... Moving everything will be a major pain though I can feel it... -

And sites hosted by these to see how fast they actually are? The fastest site I have met for me is Rocket Theme excluding Google

You can't compare RT with any VPS as it is running on a rocket fuel
seriously, your average VPS vs. the RT server would be like the proverbial hare and tortoise.
I bet the best way to compare hosting is to have stock installs of joomla on a few VPS's (from different providers).
I'll set one up in a day or two (busy now) and will share a link then.
Besides the server specs, the number and type of services running on the VPS significantly affect performance so again, it is difficult to benchmark. - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.

Go Daddy sucks really bad...
they won't even unzip a file for you..
they have the technology to check for viruses etc, but they refuse.
That's why I moved away from them... - "A new Image for old Idea"

I've been with
Dreamhost
for about 2 yrs now. They're huge, but their support is still first rate. Not sure about their VPS pricing/performance. In 2 yrs they only had one major meltdown that lasted a couple of weeks--other than that it's been roses. Tell them dgamber -at- pictusdesign.com referred ya--I get a Christmas card if you do!

Yes, I have 8 trojans on my box and they wont do anything for me, they make you just format your system constantly, which is BAD for business not to mention time consuming to restore.
I will look for another host that can offer me similar options, what is the best way to transfer my existing joomla sites over without taking weeks to rebuild? Has anyone done moves like this before? I have about 5 high traffic sites and one high profile hollywood client I will be moving so it has to be virtually seamless...
