I'm really short on time today.
RokNewspager strips html tags for obvious reasons.
Also keep in mind that Joomla 1.7 is stripping code too. (You have to go into the options of the article manager and set filtering to "no" for your desired user group.)
It's always a problem if you want it to do more than jusr displaying text an a thumbnail.
Perhaps a real accordion extension would fit better for your needs here.
About the wrong links in RokNewspager ... I guess that is a real bug in 1.7 version as it is working as expected in 1.5
