    • Hi Cliff,

      Wow thanks for the quick reply !!. :)

      I did try turning off the "Display Component" in the advanced tab.... this didn't work !
      After trying that... I also tried turning off the 'Display MainBody' ... this also made no difference..

      But you have explained it clear enough for me to understand that the 2nd way you suggested of doing this... being that I should place into the TEMPLATE.CSS the line of code you supplied. relative to the name of the menu's name used in the Menu Manager.

      So, by replacing word 'class' with the name of the menu that has the article that I do not wish to display - 'small-cars' ... by pasting this into the TEMPLATE.CSS has fixed this the issue ... MANY THANKS !!! :)
      From :
      .menu-class #rt-main{display:none;}
      To :
      .menu-small-cars #rt-main{display:none;}

    • This worked great for me once I got to Cliff's 2nd set of instructions.

      The first set:

      "Hi, the easy way is to set "display component" to off in the template settings, as Henning mentioned earlier in this thread. If you need to do that only on a certain page, you can create a template override by making a copy of the template in the template manager, then assigning it to the page you want in the assignments tab. Then check the box and flip the switch for "Display Component" in the advanced tab."

      Did not work for me either but 2nd set worked fine.

      Thanks!

    • Hi,

      I'm using Fresco template v1.5 with Joomla 3.3.4.
      I want to do the same on the homepage, have tried the solution but it didn't work.
      I know this thread is quite old, is there any changes on solution? or homepage must have the component on the page?

      Regards,
      Enrile Fahmi Fahreza

    • 1. make sure menu-item-type is "featured articles"
      2. turn of "display component" and/or "display mainbody" in the settings of your template

      If you want to do that only for one page you can create a template override and assign it to the page in question.

    • Hi Henning,

      It works!! I just need to change the menu-item-type to "featured articles".

      Thanks a lot.

    • Hello,

      I'm working with Joomla 3.4.0 and Stratos 1.5. Don't know what I'm missing here but can't disable manibody just for certain pages.
      In advanced template settings:
      Display Component: Off
      Mainbody Enabled : Off
      For example would like to disable mainbody in www.imediatrack.com/new/benidorm-shows

      Thank you for your help,
      Maria

    • Hennig is so patient, lol

      He pretty much is answering the same question with the SAME answer several times all because people don't read...funny.

      If I were you, I would be like "can't you read?, I said set it to featured articles!"

      But alas, you are more patient than I am, kudos to you and thanks for all your help ;)
