    forms integration into joomla

Posted 17 years 9 months ago
    • I'm primarily a functional type developer, as in I build something to work and not necessarily look good, so I use joomla for the frontend. My question is I currently use staticXT as the component to bring in the php scripts I write. Is there a easier, better way? I don't wrap them because I want the css styling to be consistent between my php scripts and the other joomla content.

I've looked at the forms components on extensions.joomla.org, but they all assume you're not a php scripter. I guess I'm just looking for validation that staticXT is the way to go. Is anyone else using something else to pull in their custom php scripts.

Examples of what I'm talking about can be found at ahevents.org/eventlogs.html

    • I have dumped PHP into Joomla content pages before, and JS.

Just turn off your wysiwyg editor and paste all the code into static content page, or even normal content page and then load it up.

Unfortunately I can't show you any as they were in house dev work that only people on the company network can access.

    • Thanks for the response. I will try that and see how it works. If I do that, then the other people contributing to the site don't need access to the shell account or ftp.
