Google PageRank or "PR" on your foolbar is simply a matter of pages linking to your specific page. It is a function of how many pages link to your specific page and also what the individual PR is on those pages. (PR updates constantly internally but the PR that shows on your toolbar only updates about 4-5 times a year.)
Google PageRank and SERPs are two entirely different things. Yes generally the higher your pagerank the higher your search engine placement, but this is only one of hundreds of factors.
Good point for remember that! High PR is not a garanty of high position in SE. You can do a simple search and verify some websites with PR1 ou 3 in first positions and other websites (or internal pages) with higher PR in second, third GG result pages. There hundreds of factors and only GG know what!
Allright Im doing my best to improve my Google Ranking.
Mine (
www.360Uploads.com
) is currently (03/10) on frontpage and (02/10) on every other Page.
Also if I search for my site with the Keywords "360 Uploads" and "360uploads" im nr.1.
It's normal to find your site in first position since it is your domain name.
exactly, who would search for 360 uploads? only return visitors. to attract new visitors you definitely have to optimize for '360 movies' '360 videos', '360 clips'.
