1) The Slideshow doesn't work at all. In order to see anything on the front end, you have to set it to Showcase.
2) The ellipsis appears to the left of the Read More button, regardless of where the button is, instead of right after the last word in the preview text, which is where it should be.
3) Only about half of the different transition effects in the Showcase work. They sort of default to the other half which do work. The Randomize one is totally horrible -- half the time it displays the articles with the wrong font and/or with no image.
1. + 2. dont put the image into the article directly.
Use the image chooser in the item-settings of Rcksprcket.
3. I have seen that too ... but could never replicate that.
So in your case it may be just better not to to choose the random option.
BTW. I guess we are talking about RokSprocket ... ?
OK - I know we are good when it comes to helping members. Very often we have to guess at what they are referring too as well.
I think we can surmise that you may be referring to RokGallery :cheesy:
We have no idea which template you are using it with. Nor do we know if you are using Joomla 1.5 or 2.5.
Furthermore you haven't even given us a link to see the problem.
Why presume it is a problem with the module? Could it not be the hosting? Or perhaps the way you have configured it?
Please take the time and trouble to provide relevant information before you start blaming the module. Either that or please upload a crystal ball so we can all see the problem in the same clarity as you are :cheesy:
Please search forums before posting. Please make sure your post includes the version of the CMS you are using and a link to the problem. Annotations on screenshots can also be helpful to explain problems/goals. Please use the "secure" tab for confidential information
It doesn't have to do with whether or not the image is there; it has to do with the placement of the ellipsis in relation to the placement of the Read More button. The button is there (if you want it) whether or not you have an image. If you go back to the URL that I gave you, you can see what I mean. The ellipsis needs to go right after the nth word (whatever value you set n to) in the preview text. And there's nothing in the configuration parms that lets you control where the ellipsis goes (although you would expect it to go after the nth word).
Also, BTW, the image resizing thing doesn't work, either...
see my post above ...
if you choose the image via the image chooser the html is different.
The mage will be in its own container. (check Kirigami for example)
So it's really a matter of where the image comes from.
The image resize works ... but it's for reducing the image size in responsive uses.
Otherwise it would use a quite big image.
