    • Rui,

Yes, I am only playing with 3.0 at this time. I am not going to use it for any live sites. I am not trying to apply any Rockettheme templates to it. I am going to wait till Rockettheme produces templates for 3.0 or 3.5 whichever they decide. I can wait. I just want to play around with new features & probably won't upgrade any live sites till 3.5 has been around for a while.

Apparently the upgrade from 2.5 to 3.5 will be done with the one click upgrade button. :D
Thank you... I read that article and now I am confused!

@Kat... Seems like Joomla finally dived into the abyss where they found a way to make migrations as simple as upgrades :)

      Can't wait!

    • Akeeba's latest release of Admin Tools 2.4.0 has a one click upgrade from 2.5 to 3.0. It also warns that upgrading will break all existing extensions & templates. Before upgrading they warn to make sure that all extensions used are compatible with 3.0, templates too.
This version also allows user of Joomla! 2.5 to upgrade to Joomla! 3.0 AT THEIR OWN RISK. Please bear in mind that Joomla! 3 has several very important API changes which break all existing extensions (even templates). Unless you have made sure that all of your extensions are compatible with Joomla! 3.0 don't even think about hitting that upgrade button or your site will be toast. Dead. Killed. Fubar. Kaput. Failed. Crashed. Broken. Destroyed. Up in flames. Trashed. I hope you understand that and not ask for our support if you do that.

If you are thinking of upgrading a production site be forewarned!
