like already stated numerous times in this topic: NO - it does not have to be there anymore, just uninstall rokupdater and it will be gone.

- Hi Kat, Yes I read that multiple times. But by turning it off the updater does't work which is a helpful feature. I was just trying to help you understand what your customers wishes were and how this was viewed from a customers perspective. My intentions were not to annoy you. Sorry you feel that way and that the time I invested was wasted. Have a great day!

you're wrong, the joomla extensions update function is still going to work after you uninstall rokupdater.
you will still be able to update our extensions, only the authentication requirement will be removed.
