    • I struggled with this for a while. Hopefully this method can help others achieve multilingual and multiple layouts:

This assumes you have already set up Joomla multilanguage, which means you have a master menu, languageA (such as English) menu, and language B (such as Chinese) menu.

      1. in master template > menu, assign languageA menu.

      2. in master template > assignments, assign all languageA menu items.

      3. Save and close

      4. From template manager, select master template and look to the top right menu > duplicate

      Repeat steps 1, 2 & 3 for languageB.

Master template has all layout settings for language1. In the duplicated master template you can override the default settings of the master template and customize as you want, for that particular language.

    • I'm lost, we seem to be going around in circles - how about posting screenshots of what you have in template manager and indicate which pages are assigned to each.

      Regards, Mark.
    • Please search forums before posting. Please make sure your post includes the version of the CMS you are using and a link to the problem. Annotations on screenshots can also be helpful to explain problems/goals. Please use the "secure" tab for confidential information.
