Hi David,
Thanks for your feedback to which I have replied...

Very very frustrating how if I bought a subscription to use your templates 6 months ago but it now has since expired and I haven't had time to begin working on a template until now...that I can no longer come into these forums and review the template-specific forum...
This is an area that was commented on by members in our survey last year. As you can see we have taken on board those comments and you can now purchase individual templates with lifetime upgrades and specific forum access. Any other subscriptions fall under the old terms and once a subscription is expired then so is the access.

Perhaps you folks at Rocket Theme can please enable read-only forum access to the various templates to people who have previously subscribed (many times), like me. I've been a customer of Rocket Theme for a long time but this is painful that I need to pay to renew my subscription when I'm not in need of any new templates and am simply seeking documentation for something that I've already rightfully downloaded in the past.
Template documentation is available to every member, even with expired subscriptions, so if you are "simply seeking documentation for something" then you already have access. If you consider the reality of our subscriptions where you can download every template during your membership, then people would expect access to every forum forever. Answering forum posts takes time and costs money, which is why they are restricted to active subscribing members or template purchasers.

Please change your forum permissions around to help out previous PAYING subscribers looking for documentation on templates they already grabbed. I definitely won't renew my subscription just because I can't see the forums now, if I need new templates or additional site licenses or updates to a template...that would be a good reason for my renewing again... All this teaches me to do is that next time I get a subscription here, I just run an HTML crawler to save everything in the forums so I can refer to it later. Thanks.
That request is like buying a car from a dealer and then after the warranty has expired expecting to call in at the dealership and get free advice just in case you might or might not buy another car from them. You could indeed run a crawler but I sure hope you have plenty of storage as our forum are pretty big!
Alternatively you could just make sure that your future purchases are single template purchases to get the ongoing support and access.
I hope this clarifies the situation.
