    • OK. I think I found that info.
      cURL support is enabled.
      allow_url_fopen is on.

    • AYE Carumba!!!
      I'm seeing a lot of files with "._" and assume this has something to do with MAc?

      At any rate something in your site's \libraries\joomla\http folder is significantly borked.

      To repair I would:
      1. Backup your site with a free copy of Akeeba backup
      2. with Cpanel or Plesk - delete the \libraries\joomla\http folder
      3. download a copy of J3.3 -> http://www.joomla.org/download.html
      4. copy that http folder to \libraries\joomla\ folder
      5. using the Joomla updater - update to J3.30

    • Hrmmm. I am working on a mac but the dev environment has never been run on my machine. Not sure where the extra "_" are coming from. Anyhow, I did as you instructed but I instead used the libraries\joomla\http folder from the 3.2.4 install as our php version will not yet support joomla 3.3.
      Both problems persist. I still get "Fatal error: Class 'JHttpTransport._socket' not found in /var/www/vhosts/cirris.com/joomla/libraries/joomla/http/factory.php on line 90" when finding updates on the extension manager page and I still get the blank white screen when trying to edit the Anacron template.

      Okay Plan B. Use only the libraries\joomla\http folder from the J3.3 and see what happens. Copy your original before trying.
