Hi Kitty,

Not just any available theme would do. I'm venting my frustration after committing man hours and broad-based branding around my chosen theme and now regretably being forced to start over from scratch.
Vermillion for WP has never been updated since 2014 and remains ver. 1.0.
The simple answer about Vermilion not having been updated is because we have had nothing to update for the WordPress version. It is bug free so requires no update.

Yet one must buy the theme after having already installed in a live environment during active membership. I didn't renew my expensive membership because I didn't get some bugs resolved before expiry.
You keep saying bugs when you are actually referring to 3rd party plugins that don't work as you want them to. In fact I answered your original post on this subject 15 months ago. You can read it again here -

I was stuck with a theme that caused multiple unresolved conflicts. It's not our theme it's the plugins. It's not our plugin it's the theme. Low and behold it was always the theme and yes... more than two years later it's still the theme after switching from Vermilion to TwentyXX for tests. The back and forth support tracks burned through my membership and now you people want to take more money from people with empty promises for future upgrades if they spend the money to own it.
We have a variety of subscriptions to suit most needs. Unfortunately we have many members who want our products as cheaply as they can get them and then want free support forever more. That is not how a subscription scheme works. Yes, you can quote Microsoft and their updates, Apple too, but please remember that their products are many more times expensive in the first place than our subscription plans.
I find it amazing that people will buy a 3 month subscription yet still expect support once their membership expires. Even though your last membership subscription expired in September 2014 you have posted since then requesting help with issues you had with your template. You received help even though you were not entitled to it. This means that the time spent on your requests as a non-paying member is preventing us from helping those members who do have paid up subscriptions.

I return from time to time to see what's new and maybe reconsider Rocket Themes. All I ever see is more and more themes with a primary focus on developing for the latest version of Gantry. Why would anyone buy a theme that never sees updates or advancements and is limited to old Gantry 4? A fire sale promotes a promise of receiving updates. Really?!
Why would you update something that isn't broken? Gantry 5 allows most designers and developers more flexibility than ever before. This is our framework and we will obviously design templates to utilise it.
What we will not do though is promise that our templates will work with every plugin that members decide to install. The reason being that some of those plugins have been poorly designed by coders who don't take into account anything other than the default template of the CMS they are designing for.
Let me ask you a question Kitty - Suppose you built me a website 2 years ago and now something is not working after I have added lots of extra plugins. Will you now fix it, 2 years later, free of charge?
I suspect the answer would be no, yet that is exactly what you are expecting from us.
It really is simple. If you want ongoing support for a template then buy a lifetime subscription for the template. That way you get any upgrades, if there any, and ongoing support when you have a problem. You can buy the template for $34 at the moment during the sale, but even at full price of $49 that is a small amount to pay for a template and support.
At present you do not have a subscription, your last expired almost 2 years ago, so please do not expect FREE support on future posts as it is not fair on other members.
Thanks for your co-operation.
