As extensions (modules, plugins, components, etc), they are optional and separate from the template. You can use as little or as much as you like. And even in the modules themselves there are lots of configuration options to help you reach the level of functionality and performance you want. The power is in your hands. Oh yah, checkout RokGZipper page under the extensions menu on the Demo.

Really like this one, simple design, flexible functionality.
Kudos for the plain header – it leaves a lot of room for creative expression. I could probably implement this on every site I run, yet each would look unique.
Finally, I use weather modules on a couple of sites, so I have a pretty good idea of what's available on the JED. RT's weather module is the best I've seen. Looking forward to implementing it...
