Leave the Password open on a fresh install? Crazy!??!? LOL How are you going to login?

1. I have a problem to install your Perihelion template at “localhost” on my computer. I attach a screenshot of the error encountered after stage 4 of the Rocket Launcher installation attempt. Please give me an exact answer and give interpolations in my text where I make statements that are correct, incorrect, or that you need to elaborate on in your wisdom.
I Unzipped the file. [In my mind there are basically 2 options; either install the “Rocket Launcher”, which is an exact copy of the Demo on the Rockettheme.com website, or just the bare bones Perihelion template.
There is no point in using the RT Install if your not going to use the demo. If your going bare bone - use Fantastico (Cpanel - if you have it) or do a fresh install of the latest Joomla from Joomla (Note: when you use the Joomla zip and extract it on your server - it goes to the root not to the folder
at least it does on my server)
The “Rocket Launcher” zip files always has the following basic file name structure: “Joomla_RT_Perihelion_j15”. The parts marked in red ink denote variable portions of the name “formula”, and will therefore be changed and varied from template to template with whatever template maybe be contained in it, for eg template names of Media Mogul, Populus, Perihelion, Hivemind etc. The purple “RT” part in a file will always tell you that you now deal with a “Rocket launcher” package file, and NOT just the basic template, which basic template is without all the bells and whistles which the Rocket Launcher package has already included.
The normal template file for Dimensions is called “rt_Perihelion_j15”. Here again the red ink denote what will change from template to template in the file name structure “formula”].
I Copied the file which I so unzipped to the folder of my site’s “main” folder {NOT the “templates” folder, but, in my case the “shariki_dlya_prazdnika” folder}. the site is kept in the Wamp folder at “c:\wamp\www\shariki_dlya_prazdnika\”. Here again, in my mind, if you want to create new sites, you will just create folders fore them in place of/in addition of the “restaurant” folder.
Now that the extracted zip file was in my site’s main folder {NOT the “templates” folder, but, in my case, the “shariki_dlya_prazdnika” folder}, I tried to go to activate and install this file/template/Rocket Launcher by going to the browser, typing in the file name that will take you to the file to be installed, and then follow the prompts. The file name, according to me, to be put in the browser is “http://localhost/shariki_dlya_prazdnika/joomla_RT_Perihelion_j15/installation/index.php”.
Just move everything out of the RT folder into your root - so it will read “http://localhost/shariki_dlya_prazdnika/installation/index.php”. NOT “http://localhost/shariki_dlya_prazdnika/joomla_RT_Perihelion_j15/installation/index.php”. Then delete the RT folder and start your install. It does it with me too, but I just move all the files into my root.When I got to step 4 (Database Configuration), I filled in for:
Database type: mysql;
Host Name: localhost;
Username: root;
Password: root;
Database name: joomla
I can't open the file?!? ??? Maybe, post the error and cross out your domain info?
Email support at Rockettheme fobs me off ...
When did RT start doing E-Mail Support? Besides account problems...example - can't login after paying for membership (you would definitely need email support for that one
). RT Support is Right here and your using it right now! ;D The Forum!
Believe me - I know what it was like when I first started working with Joomla - painful, but I got better. Also, I was a real noob when I first joined RT and said stuff I wish I could take back :
, because RT TEAM ROCKS! & gives incredible support - you just got to know how to ask for it - and you know how to do that? Just ask and post it in the forum. ;D
Best of Luck,
