    • Also - check this out:
      www.joomlatwork.com/products/free_produc...ef_patch_joomla.html

It apparently goes up to 1.0.11 - on a quick scan I didn't see anything for 1.0.12 if you are using the latest Joomla - but it might be OK. I recently used this for a site I have been updating - just prior to the latest release ::) Seems any time I get brave enough to upgrade that site - they release a new version a day or so afterwards.

    • Feathered Wonders, you give him a very good idea:
Another is to do a search of the local area in Google. There are tons of sites that lead to nowhere in someways - but would love links to anything locally.

I did it for my local portal and I found a lot of good sites to put a link to mine. ;)
      Possibly a paid advertisement.
Another great idea when you start with a site! Actually, I spend just 15€/month with Adwords and with a strategic campaign you can have a very good return! For a restaurant, I think you certainly must spend more :P but you can think about it :)

I also did this on every page I added to the web sites content pages. I also made sure the content of each section had some but not too many keywords in it.

      2. Because it's a Joomla site it has RSS Feeds. So when the page was finished I submitted the RSS feeds all over the internet.

      Ray

Ray so if I am understanding this write on content pages you added your own meta tags manually. Does this work and if possible can you put meta tags on modules, mambots, components, and content categories. Also where do you submit your rss feeds, and what does that to for your google ranking!

    • Can you talk more about how RSS effects your seo.

    • I know you have been waiting for Ray - but try googling "RSS SEO" "RSS submit" and "RSS Joomla" - I believe those will give you some of the answers you want to know. Try Joomla.org extensions also and I imagine there would be things in their forum. You can find sites that will do the submissions for a fee. But you can take time to find out how to submit on your own if you have the time. Good luck.

      Buttom Line,

I would advice you to do the following:

1- Write related articles and submit it to article directories like ezinearticles.com and GoArticles.com ,with your major keywords in the anchor text with in the link back to your website.
2- Submit your RSS feed to all Agregators available.
3- Manage your pages' meta tags individually.

The more backlinks you have, the better you'll do... Keep in mind that sites linking back to you should be related in the theme or just submit as many articles as you can that do link back to you as well.
