Could moving a site from php4 to php5 cause issues?

    • I'm trying to move a site and keep having unexpected results. I come up with default joomla pages within my "sort-of" template. The template is sort of ok, but not all together.

I have tried a number of times and can't think of anything I'm doing wrong.

The original site was installed on a server running php4 and the permanent site is on php5.

      Could that be an issue?

    • While moving from php5 to php4 might cause problems, moving up to php5 shouldn't be and issue.

      How was the site moved?

Is SEF activated and configured properly?
    • Thanks,

    • I have a few more things to check, but I didn't know if the 4 > to 5 might be any kind of issue. no SEF on at the moment. I put up the rocket launcher on the location, looks good, then I used phpmyadmin to upload the sql file, and kablooie-Just the default joomla articles...

Thank you very much for responding! You guys are the greatest!

Moving files again ftp right now...
