I need to setup a forum and from the research that I have done thusfar, SMF is the way to go it would seem.
I should add that I would like to integrate (?) Community Builder with SMF and Joomla, I'm not sure if this affects which bridge to use?

Think you need the JoomlaHacks bridge if you want to use community builder with it.

Not necessarily Orstio’s bridge supports Community Builder, the best bet is to create a test site install and try both bridges for yourself. - VirtueShop
