@Bruce thank you that part was not sure only got a server for hosting jug for free on it and a dev that do free extension and need help
So only look at root server and deal for a few as I also host a server on freenode

hi shari,
did you ever try to apply or save any changes even though it says that params.ini is unwritable?
mine says this almost all the time and still i am able to just go ahead and apply changes, please give it a try. if it still does not work, try to enable the ftp layer in the joomla global configuration.
as jem said, hostgator works fine for him and i know some of the other moderators have accounts there too and run all rt templates without any issues.
