I'm not well versed in php and such, but this site was a conversion from a wordpress with phpbb3.0 to a joomla 1.0.x with phpbb3.0. The site has over 1000 members and preserving their information was a top priority. I am using the community builder plug in with the cb connector.
Other Features:
I also found an MP3 plugin for the community builder component that allows users to upload their own MP3's. You can also see on the front page a module that displays the latest MP3's uploaded by users.
There may be a few other components I left out that I forgot about, but overall I think I covered the main items.
Any specific areas of my site that I'd like feedback on, if any:
Just the general integration, feel, etc...

- Very Nice! I like it. What version of Joomla? Based on the extensions it must be 1.0.x or 1.5.x in Legacy Mode. How's the GigCalendar working? Haven't seen any updates on it in quite some time.

Version 1.0.12 on the Joomla. I am skeptical about moving to 1.5 because I'm afraid I would lose most of the capability I have with the current extensions.
gigCalendar is working fine, most of my work has been tweaking the css to blend everything together.

1- It's very cooool
2- I'm a bassist ;D
I love Stuart Hamm, Randy Coven, Matt Bisonette and more...
However my guru is Alain Caron. He is not human for sure
I saw him several times when he was in UZEB... really goooood.

I told myself "no way I am watching that you tube video of some dude playing the bass for nearly 10 frickin' minutes!" Dude, I didn't move a muscle; that guy is mesmerizing with that bass. Phenomenal! Thanks for sharing.

I have some suggestions for your website:
1- You can monetize it using contextual and relevant ads; adsense for example.
2- why don't you put videos in the content? For example in the interview articles? Or create a lesson section would be great.
3- If you are using Joomla! 1.0.12 please upgrade ASAP; there are serious security issues in this version.

Hi Hardwork! Yes, I understand what you mean but you are right, Alain Caron is phenomenal and this video is not his best music for sure. I really like him since 1984 or 1985 and he is one of the bassist who take bass in another level. For me he is like Steve Vai for guitar or Denis Chambers with drums. Some musicians and their instruments seems to be only one thing you know, when the instrument is a simple extension of the body.

2- why don't you put videos in the content?If you are going to add video (which you should), you should find a good way to secure ACHtube. I paid for it, and placed it on one of my customer's site, and the site got hacked, because of the register globals setting that the video would not run without). When I emailed the developer, they were of no help and incredibly unempathetic.
On the other hand, it is an amazing component if you could secure you site enough to have it run for more than 1 or 2 days.
