Hey,
My first post here at Rockettheme and its great to be on board!

Custom Development: Background image, removal of colour changer at top of page
What do you guys think? I would love to hear any comments on the appearance and colour scheme aswell as any general stuff (good or bad).

Can't really point it out. But something dosn't feel just right with the color scheme. Maybe a little darker blue? (Not sure on this one), otherwise nice site

I agree, colors are just off, maybe a different background? Dark Gray? Every thing looks great in the arrangement but I think you should change the blue and red, or if those are your colors, go to a different background that compliments them better.
Cool site and cool integration with lots of sweet content.

Thats what I decided to post here because something just looked out of place. I can't change the red and blue because their the colours of holden and ford (GO HOLDEN!) so maybe a background change. Maybe a background that had red on the left and blue on the right would be good but I don't know how to do it like that ???
If I also change the main menu colour from black to blue that could balance things up.

I would use colors that are more muted than bright. The brightness of the colors makes me immediately turn away. The problem with the color scheme is that you have bright colors mixed with the dark grey (not quite black background). I would assume that even making the background a solid black (#000000), it may bring things together a little better, but I would at least dull down the red and blue around 25%.
Maybe a background that had red on the left and blue on the right would be good but I don't know how to do it like thatNo, you shouldn't. You should find another color that matches with the scheme. Something solid and primary.
Also, there is a grammar issue with one of the images in the header area. It reads, "We Don't Like V8 Supercars... WE LOVE IT!" should be, "WE LOVE THEM" unless V8 Supercars is a single entity, then of course you're correct. It just doesn't sound right. - Nick Norris and the Pursuit of Awesomeness

I'm thinking about dumping black and having a blue background with red module heading colours colours. I don't want to change the red and blue to darker colours because it will take way the true brand colours.
EDIT:
I tried the above and it turned out pretty bad. However I've made some major changes and the theme is slighty better suited now. A fancy new banner has been added to the top to which makes a big difference ;D

Hey,
The V8 Supercars Fan Group website recently changed to the Hyperion template. Feel free to let me know if its good,bad, needs attention etc ;D
I like the end result (still working on getting the slideshow to look better) but I'm only 1 person out of many who visit the site daily.

Nice site incorporating Hyperion... but I must say that it is quite busy. Maybe try lessening some stuff for users with slower computers (hard to navigate and browse site when it’s too laggy and a lot to load.)
