  I would use another font for the logo, perhaps as henning suggested, one that look like lawyers and attorney.

- Perhaps you used a 8bit-PNG. 32bit is the best.
  Or u have to use an antialiasoption in GIMP (I never used GIMP).
  The best app for PNGs is fireworks wich produces the smallest-PNGs I know.
  If youre stuck with this problem send mir your logo-file as a psd or png and I'll try to help you.

- Thanks so much for offering to help. I spent many hours over the weekend and I just can't seem to get it smooth without looking too blurry.

- I have to admit I still hang on Photoshop but Fw produces the smallest pngs and is really pixelperfect ...
