    • I too am experiencing this issue. Do we just have to fix this directly in the db or should we be patient about a fix?

    • Ok guys, please try installing this plugin. Its should sort out the problems:

      BROKEN LINK REMOVED

      It basically patches the buggy joomla core template installer file, and also fixes the duplicate database entries.

    • Yes; with a note;

      Using J! 2.5.2, with MC 2.3 installed, I installed MC 2.4.

      This created the duplicate records.

      Installed the RokDuplTemplateFix plugin, fixed duplicate records.

      Now, the footer claims 2.4 (perhaps most accurately) but the template (style) itself (and the Extension Update Manager) believe it's 2.3, notifying the user to upgrade.

      My suspicion, without digging, is that the 2.4 db entries were deleted, leaving the now-outdated 2.3 data (in the #_extensions table)

      But no matter what, this is great!

      Thanks!

    • Bah! I was planning on attending but that's when the US Grand Prix is scheduled in Austin. No way i'm going to miss the first F1 race on US soil for quite some years!

      btw, there's no version number stored in the #__extensions table, nor is there any direct association between the update system and the template system. I think the issue you are seeing is merely a result of the update status being cached for 24 hours.
