Is there any concern with changing the requires files to 777? I had to do that to a few files and that seems a little risky. Am I to change the security on them back after I install the component?

I'm assuming they should be 755? I believe that's what they were prior to install.

How exactly do you install APC. I've gone through the documentation but havent been able to figure it out as the directions arent too clear for a PHP amateur. I have query cache installed in Joomla but I believe I need to have APC installed on my server to run it correct? Can anyone help me with this?
