So, I'm confused again. I've always loved to hate Macs and scoffed at the owners but once again I feel compelled to splash out well over a grand on a 24" iMac.
Aside from cosmetics and quality, what other benefits can one offer me over my PC?
I am with you, It has been something I wanted to try
Honestly the only reason I see for not trying one is having to repurchase all the software, adobe stuff
I am going through the same thing right now! I had to buy a laptop and I didn't want to go to Vista. I bought a MacBook which I thought I would never do.
Everyone who has a Mac loves it but can't explain exactly why. I've been a Windows user since 1993 so it's a frustrating adjustment -- I feel like a Noob!
My desktop is WinXP so I have to decide if I'm going to upgrade my old software to windows or mac.
Yesterday I was considering returning the MacBook for a laptop, but this morning when I tried to burn a CD on my Win desktop and freaking thing crashed just as it was about to finish, I said "I'M KEEPING MY MAC!"
One interesting note on the PC to MAC conversion....
The MAC runs Windows Vista better than a PC!!! Go figure. I was watching G4 TV the other day and they did a tech segment talking about how the new MACs blow the doors off the PCs for running Vista. I am sure they do just as nicely with the XP OS as well.
This may help some of you who do not wish to repurchase your adobe suites. Just run them in the windows environment.
