    • Just curious, do you really need a dedicated server? Regular hosting costs very little and some offer tons of features or at least everything you need for a Joomla site. ::I::

    • Visit www.rochen.com and see what they offer.

The prices may or may not look a bit pricey than other but :

      1) they have their servers on the USA ( if this matter)
      2) they are professionals
      3) see for yourself

Linux Server at Home! hum.. no thanks, I Still have a life to live!
Windows Server at Home.. I have enough with my clients ones!

      PS
If you sing up for any packages at rochen, please tell me so I can charge them for this referral. ;D ;D ;D
      (just kidding)

    • I have my dedicated Servers hosted at www.hetzner.de/rootserver_en.html
They offer incredible Service at very fair prices. What I really love about them, is their (of cause free) Support - you don't go through the usual "Please listen to bad music for about 45 Minutes and if you're patient enough, you'll maybe reach a person, who has a clue"-Queue, but talk to a Technician directly at the Network Operations Center right off and these guys are really freaky cracks ;)
Besides of that, if you ask nicely, they give you a lot of things, that would normally be charged, for free.
i.E. I recently upgraded a Server (better Hardware, more IPs etc.) and wanted a fresh install on the new machine, but - of cause - also my old Stuff (Databases, Files, Emails, DNS-Zones etc.) - They set up the new Server from scratch, then internally connected the Servers via. Dual Gigabit-Lan for me to copy my Stuff over and then switched the IPs, when I told them to. The old server was still accessible for a whole month. All I had to pay, way the standard setup-fee for the new Server - they didn't even charge me for the month, the old server was still online. ;D
