    • Do you think feedgator alone will do the job?

You can use the link above, but be fore warned that trying to get an answer in the forum or from the Dev is like pulling teeth. I ended up uninstalling his products from lack of support. To this day months and months later I have not received an answer to any posts I made.

I use feedgator and have it setup on a cron job that pulls the rss feeds every hour on the hour to keep my news fresh. I have 1000's of news content within my site from it. 8)

I couldn't find it in the Joomla Extensions area!

    • Me either. Wonder if the author had it pulled from the list of extensions?

    • This was for an older version of Joomla but I used it all the way up to 1.0.13. infograf768 wrote a nice little mambot, don't know if it still works but it used to. Root around a bit search on kl_rssfeed

It worked better than feedgator (for me anyway)

    • I am not exactly sure what you are looking for, but I wanted to create a page with RSS that was not simply a small module or side-bar. I wanted the RSS feed to fill the page.

What I did with success is this:

      - Created a blank content item
      - linked the blank content item from above to a menu
      - used Slick RSS to publish to a module position, then I turned off all other module positions on that page (except menus) so the RSS feed diaplays over the entire page.
      - linked Slick RSS module to the menu link created above.

    • Sorry for not getting back sooner, but have been traveling.

Right now my news articles are growing everyday. My current news article count is 28945. If you need a copy of feedgator just pm and I will send a copy to you. But you do need to know how to setup a cron job to get them to pull automatically like I did. Or you can go in and make the system import them all by clicking the import button. I have my cron job setup to pull every hour on the hour. It will only pull what it hasn't gotten already. So if there is a news article in your database it will not pull it again. This also gives me more pages in my site index with google and others. Everyday I see my index grow as well.
