    • I have installed the openSEF in my portal and everything run without problem except when I added the sobi2-RC2 component (new version of directory). When I try to access the component throught the link I created in the menu I have an error.

Someone tried this component with openSEF? It's an incompatibility or when I add some component now I need to do something more in the openSEF?

My second question is if it's possible to change the components url SEF.

      Thanks for help me ;)

    • Franck I tried this component with Artio and had to disable SEF for this component in Artios control panel with no success.
It still would not play nice for me and I had to unfortunately uninstall it. As far as I could tell it is not compatable with SEF.
The component looks quite promising and I was dissapointed, hopefully some of these issues with it will work out in the next release.

    • Franck the problems I had was using different SEF tool than OpenSEF...... you may try the SOBI2 forum for your specific problem, maybe something can be added to your .htaccess that is SOBI2 specific or somone else has had same troubles with it that you have?....

I really liked the features and flexibility of SOBI2 and wanted to use it, but just found a few too many bugs with it for my liking.

Thanks for all the great tips. i managed to get artio joomsef installed and working well... **however**..

i found that any links embedded in my content were totally messed up.

and joomsef changed it so that the link pointed to ...

      does anyone know a fix??

+ the artio joomsef site was down so i couldnt get any support or access to their forum.. or i wouldnt be bothering you all here.

    • cool ... thanks

grrrrr........arrggghh....... arrrrgggghhhhh!!! ****waiting for my very slow adsl connection to load the video**

      :)

      EDIT:

i've been through the tutorial and it didnt tell me anything new.... my site still works well wid SEO..except for the messed up links. my only guess is that maybe its my WYSIWYG content editor (JCE) that messes it up.

anyway, i'll keep fiddling with it.. if anyone comes up with a solution please let me know.

      thanks
