I was wondering if anyone knew of an extension for Joomla to make having a splash intro page quick and easy.
I'm wanting to put up a pdf turned jpg as a splash page for www.ncwsa.com to promote the national tournament.
What I think would be cool is if there is a way to have like a RokZoom image already blown up when they enter the site and then after a specific amount of time, say 20 seconds, or if they click it, it closes and they enter the site.
The only other way I can think of doing it is making a page with the graphic index.html and setting it to forward to the main site and/or if they click on the image, be directed to the main site. But then I'd have to rename the index.php to something else - not that it's a big deal but I was hoping there was a better way to do it.
Any ideas or suggestion is appreciated - Thanks!

Oops, right side up. Um, your domain will default to the .html and the index.php will work fine as is. I usually put up coming soon pages for sites I am working on and then let people I am working with preview it by typing in thesite.com/index.php .
At least that is how it is on all the servers I've worked on.

I've got the splash page on the site as index.html and kept index.php the way it is.
as you can see www.ncwsa.com the default page that comes up is the index.php
I checked the order on the server and index.html is first - so I have no idea why it's not working. I was starting to think there was a setting in the joomla setup causing index.php to come up first? I don't know though.

Hmm, wonder if the fact that you have a Meta Tag Redirect has anything to do with it...I am assuming it is a Meta Tag Redirect. Try removing the redirect then see what happens. - "You can learn a lot from a dummy. So, pay attention to yourself." Quote by me.

I removed teh meta redirect and change it to index.htm
still doesn't work

this is what my httpd.conf setting is on the server:
DirectoryIndex at_domains_index.html index.html index.html.var index.shtml index.cfm index.php index.htm
