    • Look in the template directory.

      JEM,
I checked that discussion already. I can't locate the rt_head_includes.php file anywhere in my Joomla installation (Meridian). I must be missing something here?
      Thanks,
      Matthew

You don't need to do any coding, just replace the default Joomla favicon with your own
if you use this website, it will create a sort of animated favicon as well as a normal one

That's not a good idea since it will not work in all browsers.

    • Hello,
I've done favicons in other applications, but for some reason I'm having trouble with this.

I don't see any default favicon in my template directory. I'm looking in the "rt_meridian_j15" directory. There's nothing called favicon or even *.ico in that directory.

I've also looked in the "rt_meridian_j15/images" directory. Nothing called favicon or *.ico there either.

Can someone please specify where the default favicon exists?

      Thanks,
      Matthew

It is in the images folder in the main directory

Doing it the way I do it works in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. At the end of the day, is it worth bothering with other browsers that hardly anyone uses?

There are two existing topics about Favicons, so I posted in each of them. Is that against the rules?

By the way, I have an open question in another discussion that has gone unanswered for two days. Rather than reprimanding me for cross-posting, perhaps the moderators should spend more time trying to help a paying member answer a simple question.

prim did not intend to reprimand you in any way. he was simply trying to remind you of our forum rules, as seen here www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=2&t=2702&rb_v=viewtopic

    • Kat,
Thank you for your response. I appreciate the effort to help, which I discuss in the other topic.

Regarding the rules: can you show me where it says it is against the rules to post in two open discussions that are about the same topic? I couldn't find it.

      Thanks,
      Matthew
