    • Good post webboss.

I prefer using Joomla's blog and basically keep my authors at bay. It is annoying and time consuming. Basically I have chosen to change authors at publishing since the blogs are in "Katy's Blogs" section and we all know that Katy is the author. It works for me but I agree that the Joomla core is LACKING when it comes to assigning groups and permissions.

      There is always Drupal!

Now I am being sarcastic... OR AM I???? hehe.

    • As an FYI.. RysiuM in the thread linked above has written core hacks which address all of J! author/editor/publisher problems.

    • Thank you everyone for your valuable comments and those insights.

I did notice joomla! blog but didnt actually consider the same because of what I read in forums and what actually required (or was I wrong in not considering)

I am looking for a solution which could enable me to allow multi-user blogging, which means, if my website has 1,000 users, I want to give each one of them or at least a significant chunk of them a priviledge to host their blog.

Please advice if I should consider Joomla!'s innate blog features for this purpose or a 3rd party plugin/ component.

Thank you yet again and in advance
