I don't quite understand how this works. When you upgrade from 1.0 to 1.5, the old URLs from the 1.0 application can still be found through any engine search. Obviously within time, these URLs will disappear won't they? so if you've already deleted all the old 1.0 files and replace them with 1.5, will this file still work?
yes - the basic concept of the plugin is to push the old url system to the new one (might not work if you are using SEF extension, although that is just a guess and if you were using one then the developer might also be able to help) - but as long as you were using the core URL system of Joomla 1.0 then as long as you publish the plugin all the old URL's from Joomla 1.0 will redirect to the new 1.5 URL's ..

okay - just had a quick check and my hope/assumption was right ..
the backlinks.php plugin not only does the redirect for you, but also puts in a 301 - Moved·Permanently
so it's good news all round - www.c3p0.se - sweden
