apple.com is hosted on apple servers. lol
But seriously... the big deal with Apple is the way they look, the fact that many people use them for design, etc. I imagine most people looking for a server are looking for the cheapest tool to get the job done. - actually i'm considering buying apple xserves and colocating them. They are really well designed machines with 3 drives, dual dual-core, upto 32gigs, redundant power supplies, remote reboot etc. They aren't cheap but they are pretty high end machines and compare well to equivalent ibm or hp products. The way i figure it, when your business relies on the website being available and responsive, it's probably worth investing in decent infrastructure.

It would be interesting to see the difference between the server that running RT now and the Apple server.
BTW, Andy, how much RAM is on the server now? As traffic increases, does more RAM help, or is a faster server needed for that?
