At first glance, seems quite good. Obviously you will not know how good it is until you actually start using it. I actually use Host Gator which is along the same lines as what you have been looking at. However, I am extremely pleased with the hosting, it's really fast considering it is shared hosting.
What I will say is don't get fooled by companies who offer you unlimited bandwidth and disk space. It may seem too good to be true, and actually it is. When you actually look at the TOS you will see that many of them have conditions regarding shared hosting. Things like not allowing video sharing, streaming media etc. People want lots of disk space and bandwidth because of this very reason. HG is actually one company that implement these conditions.
I am actually quite happy with my host, well I was until I realised that I only get two databases with my package and 5 sub domains (I need a database with each sub domain I'm told)
I will chat to them about this before I make a move and give them a chance to fix this
Ill be going to have a look at Gator in the meantime

Re: What hosting company

I'm using Rochen for a few sites, and I've been happy with them.
I am UK based and am using HostGator for all my Joomla sites because my UK hosting company, also shared hosting, did not quite make it. As JEM says they rock.
Things to consider are technical ones which I don't understand but php version, MySQL version and a lot of other ones to give you the hosting quality you need for a Joomla site to work really well.
Rochen are okay but quite expensive. If you're just a normal everyday guy & want some decent hosting with plenty of space then HG can't be beaten in my opinion.
You might look into Bluehost.com. I have been using them for years with no problems what so every. Support is quick to respond and address issues, cost is right, along with alot of unlimited items. Good luck
I think it's got to be worth your while if you're going to pay for dedicated hosting.I think HG starts off from just over £1000 a year, that's a lot of money if it's not a website that you are making money from.
