Dave, John - Thanks much for being willing to take a look.
I'm still kind of curious about what the solution might be (if you happen to figure it out at some point), but as I said in my post in the vividdesign forum, I can live with it as is. The bigger question is really how easy/not easy is it to move module positions around within a template? Or is this just not something one should mess with unless prepared for a lot of hassle...? Would be good to know for reference.
Thanks again all - it's really nice to be on such a friendly forum.

- Hmmm.... moving a module like User1 and User2 around on the page isn't terribly difficult. I could probably figure that out. But rearranging text on the link you sent is a little different if those three sections are all content items.
