    • Lots of extensions can send emails just fine, it's getting marked as spam after a while that's not so great.

    • In case it is any help to anyone, mailchimp has a joomla plugin. I also noticed they have a free account you can store up to 500 contacts and mail to a certain amount of times. Pretty cool considering others like constant contact/icontact have timed trials with limited lists. I know when I got my 10 day icontact trial it flew by too fast cause I was busy with otherthings.

I don't understand why everyone is harping on Acajoom. I've used it and mailed out 1000's of emails with ease.

How is AcyMailing that much better? Looking at the features they look nearly identical.
I tried both, to me acymailing has some more advanced options, is better coded and for me, it was a breeze to work with. Ajacoom has a nice UI, but for all else, I prefer acymailing, much easier to alter css and styling and truely 1.5 native. My 2 cents for what they are worth, and btw, I am in no way affiliated :D

    • AcyMailing absolutely rocks. I'm not affiliated but I know it sound like I am from this reply. This extension has replaced iContact and Constant Contact for a number of my clients and they all love it. It offers the same metrics reporting as those services, is easy to set up, allows you automatically pull in registrants from your registered joomla users, you can create signup forms that work outside of your joomla installation (which I add to facebook business pagess)... it just rocks.

I'm using the free version with 3 clients and the enterprise version for 6 client sites. Their subscriber lists range from 800 up to 33,000. For the clients with 15k subscribers or more, it paid for it self after just one month.

The customer support and forums are great too.

AcyMailing and DTRegister are the two extensions that cost a nice penny that I don't mind paying for. Clients are amazed at the robustness and flexibility of these extensions.

If you still go with a service, I find Constant Contact less user friendly than iContact and Mailchimp.
