I always want as much as I can get. Whatever the max resolution is for my card or monitor, I use.
As a developer, I want more, and I was hoping more people general users would start to appreciate higher resolutions, allowing for less scrolling. But, that is not happening.
With more and more notebooks (won't even mention netbooks), the focus has been 'wide screen' and 'hd video' gibberish, with height resolution being 720. It makes me feel like it's 1998 all over again.
So, even though I have 1200px height on my notebook, I'm starting to make sure my websites 'fit' in 720px height, by reducing header space so content shows without users having to scroll down. -
