    • Is it worth going through .css files upon completion of the build and removing variations of the code that isn't used? Or does the fact that rockettheme makes lots of different css files...light, dark, style 1, 2, 3 etc, limit the amount of surplus code in the css files that you end up using? Just wondering if there's any mileage in trying to clean them up a bit

    • I just checked a few of my Joomla websites and they are averaging the low to middle 70s which I think is reasonably okay. I also checked a very light HTML site and that was 86 so I can't imagine many people will get their site much above the high 70s if the homepage is fairly busy.

I've got to be honest, I think Google are getting too big for their boots with all these rules that they keep bringing in. They know they are the most popular search engine and they are taking advantage of their popularity.

    • I don't thinnk the overall score it that inportant. I mean it will deduct points if you got to much images on (But what if you NEED them) and other stuff.
What really important is overall size and download speed.
      Page speed-resources tab
      Page speed activity

If you are using google addon for Firefox. Ofcourse, load speed may not be acurate, since it depends on your own connection speed. But I just love the overall site size.
