How to get started

    • For a set up like on the demo server, you will need to download and install the Rocketlauncher package which is a full Joomla install, the template and all the bells and whistles just like the demo.

      Hope this helps

      Kylan,

In backend, go to your templates, select rt_vortex and click on the button Edit HTML. Now you can modify it directly.

Thank you, Yves! My highest compliments on your photography. Wow.

So is there any difference in these two things?

      1. editing HTML from the backend
      2. editing the template's index file through FTP

      Sincere thanks!

The only difference is the editor. Directly in the backend would be like editing in Notepad It will probably make you go cross-eyed after a while ;)

I normally use the backend editor, copy & paste in Dreamweaver, make edits, then copy & paste back.

    • Good point! :-)

Dan--thanks for helping me. Know there is a ton to learn but am greatly encouraged. Have recommended RocketTheme membership to a friend already.

    • You will have to use Fireworks to use the source files to their maximum extent.
