To see what is published where, you can look at the template positions in the template module-position screen shot from the demo.
And if you're confused about where something is on the front end when you are looking for it on the back end, add this ?tp=1 to the end of your URL to view the module positions.
Hi guys, I am really sorry for being a little extra-dumb, but I hope you guys can ignore that. The problem is that I am actually all new to web-developement, and I have no previous experience with joomla, I just had to ask a few questions.
Is there any specific tutorial for a newbie ?
Because all this is making me dizzy and hypnotized

We currently do not have a place where you can "register" your live sites.

So how do you control if a live site is done by someone who has an entiltlement and how do you control if he is not using more templates on different domains than owned entitlements??
It seems as if I should just use dreamweaver as my first template use. I have set up the database online, set up the ftp, and am uploading the rocketlaunch for Versatile 3 now. I was tempted to use mamp and go at it locally, but I think I can start editing and such via dreamweaver. I have done some joomla tutorials via Lynda.com and that has helped me out. I just felt like I would be editing locally and then doing it again to some degree online. Am I whacked or does this make sense??? I have to figure how to view the remote version because the old version of the web site I'm working on still has the nameserver pointing to it. I think I know how that works.....anyway. Comments if you care to. Thanks!!!

I actually remembered how to view the site even though the nameserver is pointing elsewhere. I just am curious if my choice to edit to the remote server via dreamweaver makes sense to anyone else! Thanks....

Yes you can but you will most likely run into problems when using a WYSIWYG editor. It's much better to use a text editor with syntax high-lighting such as UltraEdit or Notepad++
